Student Success Fee
What is it?
The Student Success Fee (SSF) is a campus-based fee that funds high-impact educational experiences for SDSU students. Its purpose is to support programs and opportunities that enhance student success, leadership development, academic achievement, and overall engagement on campus.
For the Leadership Club, SSF helps make these opportunities accessible and affordable for members. It allows us to provide meaningful leadership experiences that:

Strengthen collaboration and communication

Promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness

Encourage students to apply what they learn back at SDSU
Eligibility
Can I go?
School Requirements

Any current SDSU San Diego Campus and SDSU Imperial Valley (undergraduate & graduate) students (Part-Time/Full-Time) can apply.

SDSU Georgia and Global Campus students are not eligible to apply or be included on a proposal since they do not pay into the fee.
Club Requirements

Must be a member of the club.

To be a member, you must go to 2 GBMs and 1 volunteering event per semester.

Members who will be considered must be among the top point earners, as we are limited in the number of student leaders we can take.

Executive board members must also earn points to ensure fairness.

Members can earn points in the fall semester.

The Point System
How Do I Earn Points?
GBM
1 point
Members can earn 1 point by going to a weekly General Body Meeting (GBM). This encourages consistent engagement and participation in club initiatives.
Professional Development
2 points
Members can earn 2 points for each professional development session, such as a career fair, a leadership seminar, or a Glazer Center event. Photo proof must be emailed to sdsuleadershipclub@gmail.com.
Volunteering
2 points
Members earn 2 points for each volunteering event or Aztec Unity Project attended. We volunteer together multiple times each semester. In addition to community service opportunities, we also host club-led initiatives that require volunteers, such as 10-minute Leadership Club info sessions in LEAD 205, tabling events, and other campus outreach efforts.
Socials
2-3 points
Members can earn 2 points for each club social event, with an additional point awarded for bringing a guest to help grow and strengthen our community.
