About the National Student Leadership Diversity Convention
The National Student Leadership Diversity Convention (NSLDC) is the largest national gathering of student leaders and campus advisors focused on the most critical topics of diversity, leadership, and social justice in higher education. Students participate in experiential workshops, keynote sessions, and round‑table discussions designed to deepen awareness, build leadership skills, and strengthen their ability to create inclusive communities.
Each team also develops a Campus Action Plan—a project they bring back to their university to create real impact on campus.
Why the Leadership Club Attended
Thanks to Student Success Fee (SSF) funding, our club sent a cohort of 10 SDSU student leaders to the Orlando NSLDC, held April 17–19, 2026.
Our goals were to:
-
Strengthen our leadership skills through hands‑on workshops
-
Learn new strategies for inclusive leadership and communication
-
Bring back tools to support SDSU’s transfer, first‑generation, and underserved students
-
Build a Campus Action Plan to implement during the academic year
-
Represent SDSU at a national leadership platform
